Officials confirmed that the rescued leopard will be transported to Kaziranga National Park for further treatment, observation, and possible rehabilitation before being released back into the wild.

Incidents of wild animals straying into human habitations have been on the rise in Karbi Anglong and nearby regions, largely due to habitat loss and shrinking forest corridors.

Public Urged to Maintain Caution

The Forest Department has appealed to local residents to remain calm and alert in case of such wildlife encounters and immediately inform authorities to ensure safe rescues.
